Prossy is currently the Acting Commissioner Uganda Prisons Industry and the representative on the Board of institutions of correction. She is the Patron of the ELOIM committee of the Board.

A detail-oriented leader who earlier also assumed the roles of Manager at the Uganda Prisons Industries (2018). Officer In-Charge at the Remand Prison Kampala (2010-2018). In-Charge Staff and Prisoner welfare at Remand Prison Kampala (2008-2010). Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Prisons at the Prisons Training School (2007-2008). Project Assistant at Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services Center Uganda (2005-2007).

Prossy holds an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Arts from Makerere University, and a Post graduate Diploma in Public Administration and Management from Uganda Management Institute of learning. An Advanced Diploma in Correctional services from the Uganda Prisons Academy and Training School.

She is an experienced Prisons Professional with an exquisite track record in excellence at Strategic and Operations management, Strategic planning and general administration, Situation Analysis, People and Team management, not forgetting, Specialist knowledge in Security management.

Prossy’s professional specialties are entailed in exceptional skillsets certifications that she has managed to obtain over the years in Prisons service. These include Human Rights based soft skills, Partnership Management, Systems formulation and offender Correction, Rehabilitation and Reintegration program skills.

She has several capacity building trainings in Human Rights Training of Trainers, Human Rights Standards Applicable to persons deprived of liberty, Human Development Plan Training at the Malaysia Technical Coorporation Program in Langkawi Malaysia, Training of Trainers for Prisoners Senior Staff on Leadership management and also Applied Correctional Sciences Course for Correctional Officers from East Africa UNAFRI.

Prossy was nominated to the Board of ELOIM members by the President and Executive Director Mr. Tendo Steven who learnt of her passion and special interest in the organizations Access to Justice and Reintegration Programs. Her seasoned expertise in that regard and her commitment to working together with us in achieving the Programs goals while appraising, monitoring and evaluating of projects, coordinating the design and execution of the ELOIM Programmes in Access to Justice and reintegration gives us an edge in accomplishing these goals with minimal aversion.
