Education makes its consumers to make informed choices and ensure that future generations are educated as well. ELOI Ministries hence provides education on a basis of self-help by beneficiary communities.
In Uganda, only 32% of young people finish primary school (P7), 21.4%2 of young people enroll in secondary school, and 35%3 of qualified young people go on to gain higher education qualifications. Since 2007, ELOIM has sponsored a total number of 308 girls and 208 boys to go to school and attain primary, secondary and vocational skills education through its community and schools outreach programs, which we aim to continue in the same spirit.
Additionally, approximately 35% of Ugandan girls drop out of school because of early marriage and 23% do so because of pregnancy. ELOIM aims to focus on facts much more to reduce such effects so the girl child can stay in school.
