In Uganda, the government combats HIV/AIDS using the ABC model (Abstinence, Be faithful, Condom use) and additional measures like STI treatment, safe blood transfusion, public awareness campaigns, women empowerment, and Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT).
The Ministry of Health reports an HIV prevalence rate of 7.3% among adults aged 15-49, with higher rates in women (8.3%) than men (6.1%), partly due to more women participating in voluntary testing.
Regional prevalence varies from 4.1% in the Mid-eastern region to 10.6% in the Central region, indicating the need for targeted interventions.
ELOI Ministries addresses this issue with behavioral change and prevention interventions, focusing on the most affected regions through various activities aimed at tackling this public health crisis.

The aim of this HIV/AIDS project is to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS prevention in communities.
