She is an educationalist and Teacher with national and International exposure. Over the years she has dedicated her expertise to Makerere University of Business Studies where she actively began as a Teaching Assistant (2006-2009), taught and handled examinations. She also was later appointed assistant Lecturer (2009-2015). Today Miss Maria teaches undergraduate students of classes of Bachelors of Business Computing, Bachelors of Office and Information Management. Bachelors of Business Administration. A role she assumed when she became full time Lecturer form 2015 to date. Her responsibilities include Research and Publications, teaching Course Development and Review and also research supervision.

Maria has over six contributing publications in various fields ranging but not limited to Educational and Pedagogical sciences, and M-learning Methods.

She has over the years applied and won grants in the field of Developing and testing digital games for teenage Reproductive and Mental Health Education from Makerere Research and Innovation Fund. An achievement I am immensely proud of since it was a game changer in the lives of hundreds of young teenage girls and boys.

With scholarships and international trainings also on Audio Visual and Learning Materials from the Kaholic University in Leaven Belgium. Miss Maria found out earlier at the start of ELOI that even with the benefits that the Ministry will bring to the children we serve, giving liberates the soul of the giver. Giving does not precede receiving, it’s the reason for it and it’s in giving that we receive. These principles have been her guiding light in her position and relationship with ELIOM. To serve diligently in any capacity to uphold a vison that affects all of us in one way or another. A vison to restore the rights and position of the less privileged African child.
