Uganda faces significant health challenges, from the ongoing fight against HIV/AIDS to the critical need for better nutrition and maternal health services. These are not abstract issues; they affect men, women, and children in communities every single day.
ELOIM believes that access to quality healthcare is a fundamental human right. As part of our mission, we work to increase access to medical care and health education, and a cornerstone of this work is our partnership with Buwenge Hospital.
Healing Through Collaboration
Since 2013, ELOI Ministries has been in partnership with Buwenge Hospital with the clear aim to facilitate and improve healthcare for the community. This isn’t just about funding; it’s about building capacity, supporting medical professionals, and ensuring that the people of Buwenge and surrounding areas can receive the care they need.
Our health initiatives also focus on some of the most pressing public health issues:
- HIV/AIDS: We support programs addressing this major concern, which continues to affect people of all ages.
- Mobile Medical Care: As seen in our founder Tendo Steven’s early work, reaching people where they are is critical.
- Child Protection: A healthy community is one that protects its most vulnerable. We advocate for the rights and protection of children, ensuring they are safe from all forms of harm.
From partnering with hospitals to empowering women in villages like Nakaseke, our approach to health is holistic. We are sowing seeds of health today to nurture a stronger, more resilient Uganda for tomorrow.
